Looking For More Info About Me?

Here it is.......
I have a BA in Psychology from Florida International University and a Master's degree from Keller Graduate School of Management.  I hold a PHR certification and have years of management experience, working in for profit and not for profit businesses.
Three interesting facts about me:
Random:  My first job out of college was at a mental health hospital! (Yes really)
Personal:  I am not a fan of television. (Give me a book any day, any hour of the day.... Wait, that doesn't sound interesting.  Now that I think about it, it sounds pretty boring.  But it's the truth!)
Professional:  I once sourced, screened, hired, and on-boarded OVER 100 employees in 6 months. (It was intense but I learned a great deal)

In 2005, I was "downsized" from a fulfilling job in non-profit management while I was 8 months pregnant.  I was devastated personally and professionally.  It was at this time, I realized I didn't know much about the employer- employee relationship.  I dove in to learn all I could about Human Resources and the business environment.  Two years later I graduated with honors, earning my MBA with a concentration in HRM.  I vowed to remain abreast of the industry as well as to work tirelessly to help employees and employers better understand the impact their decisions have on the world of work.
No man is an island.  We all need compatible partners to reach the success we desire. Great partnerships are based on congruent expectations and honest communication. Conversely, poor communication hinders growth.  If you are not growing, you are either dead or dying.  So to be effective and progressive, one must communicate honestly (with self and others), seek the right partnerships and learn continuous.  It is for these reasons I value, honesty, communication, partnerships, growth and education.
Running an effective Human Resources department is tough.  It is difficult to get ahead of things when you are constantly coaching, consulting, counseling and cleaning up mistakes.  You need a partner. One who understands the delicate balance of managing compliance, business objectives and human expectations.  You need a partner with education, skill, experience and understanding. The HR Startegist products and services could help you move your team forward, while lightening your load and improving your operations.
